Soy fotógrafa y pintora y las dos disciplinas me ayudan a expresarme.
En fotografía empecé cuando existía el cuarto obscuro y la tira de pruebas. Entonces mi trabajo era en blanco y negro, ahora es en color, pero siempre dentro de la corriente documentalista. Cuando salgo con mi cámara intento captar el momento decisivo del devenir humano y dejar constancia de ello. Desde 1992 hasta 2006 fotografíe la Ciudad de Carmona.Durante varios años recorrí con mi amiga Pau más de 100 bares sevillanos e hicimos una exposición tirulada:»cien bares, 1000 cervezas». Ahora estoy de lleno en eternizar las tiendas de Sevilla antes de que desaparezcan para siempre.
En pintura busco el concepto narrativo y por eso las imágenes, provenientes tanto de mi fondo fotográfico como de internet, son para mí un instrumento necesario de dónde me nutro diariamente. En mi serie “Stolen Stories” utilizo imágenes encontradas al azar. En mis serie “Noporn” estudio mi obsesión por el desnudo, mientras que la serie ”Venus World» es un paseo con óptica feminista por algunas imágenes de la Historia del Arte.
El retrato también me ha fascinado a lo largo de mi carrera artística y uniendo fotografía y pintura tengo los retratos de la serie “Photopainting”.
I am a photographer and a painter.Both disciplines help me to express myself.I started taking photographs when there was the dark room and the photo test strip.My photographic work was in black and white and analogical,now is in color and digital.From 1992 to 2006 I took pictures of Carmona , a city situated in the South of Spain where I lived.
During more than ten years my friend Pau and I visited more than a hundred of bars in Sevilla and later we made an exhibition called:»100 bars,1000 beers».
When I paint I look for the narrative concept.I used both my photographs and those found in internet.In my series»Stolen Stories» I try to live the story of those wowen represented by my painting.In my series»Noporn» I study my nude obsession while in «Venus’s World» I visit the History of Art from a feminist point of view.
Portrait has also fascinated me along my artistic career and putting toghether photograph and painting I have my serie called»Photopainting»
